About this tool

Rotate PDF permanently adjusts the orientation of pages inside a PDF document. You can rotate every page or choose specific pages, odd pages, or even pages. Everything runs directly in your browser, so your documents are never uploaded to an external server.

When to use it

  • Fix scanned documents that were fed upside down or sideways
  • Orient landscape spreadsheets or diagrams inside an otherwise portrait document
  • Rotate individual cover sheets, contract signatures, or exhibits
  • Correct alternating pages in duplex-scanned PDF files

How to use it

To rotate a PDF

  1. Choose a PDF file from your computer or phone.
  2. Click directly on any page thumbnail to turn it 90 degrees clockwise, or use the batch action buttons (Turn all, Turn odd, Turn even). Keyboard and screen reader users can use the dedicated -90° and +90° buttons under each page.
  3. Review the live visual preview as you turn pages. Use Reset or Reset all changes at any point to revert back to the original orientation.
  4. Press Save and download PDF to generate and download your updated document.

Questions

Are my PDF files uploaded to any server?

No. The file is processed and re-oriented locally on your computer or phone using browser memory. Nothing is transmitted to an external server.

Can I rotate only certain pages?

Yes. Select “Specific pages or page range” and enter the page numbers or ranges you wish to rotate, separated by commas (for example: 1, 3-5). Only those selected pages will have their orientation modified; all other pages remain untouched.

Does rotating change document quality?

No. Rotating a PDF updates the page rotation metadata without re-encoding or re-compressing the text, vector curves, or embedded images. Your document retains 100% of its original clarity and quality.

Can I rotate password-protected PDFs?

No. Remove password protection before opening the document in the rotation tool.
