About this tool
Add page numbers to PDF inserts sequential numbering into your PDF documents. Choose where numbers appear, pick a numbering style, and optionally skip the cover page. Everything runs directly in your browser, so your files are never uploaded to a server.
When to use it

Questions
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. The PDF is processed and numbered locally on your computer or phone using browser memory. Nothing is sent to an external server.
Does adding page numbers change the document quality?
No. The existing text, vectors, and image contents of your PDF remain unaltered. Only page number text elements are placed onto the pages.
Can I skip multiple opening pages?
The current tool includes an option to skip the first cover page. If you need to renumber from a later chapter, you can adjust the “Start numbering at” field.
Can I use password-protected PDFs?
No. Remove password security from the PDF before adding page numbers.
